Complexity and dynamics

Modern logistics processes are shaped by their high dynamics and complexity. For example, questions concerning optimum layout of the conveyor technology cannot be considered in isolation from sequencing and consolidation strategies.

For these reasons simulation-based methods and tools are increasingly applied in the different planning phases of a logistics project.

The fields of application extend from feasibility studies at a very early point of time through support of the rough and detailed planning to the implementation and start-up phase of the logistics system.

Through application of simulation technology, in particular with logistics projects additional dependability can be gained and commissioning time saved, as all relevant processes can be evaluated and optimally co-ordinated in interaction at an early stage.

Your benefit:

  • Evaluation of different conveyor technology variants
  • Comparison of different stock placement/stock removal strategies
  • Analysis of fault scenarios
  • Minimisation of cycle times
  • Planning reliability
  • Optimisation of single divisions
  • Effective dimensioning of resources
