Down to the last detail
The aim of the simulation-based detailed production planning is the optimisation of preliminary planning taking into account dynamic conditions such as current availability or faults, resources, stocks, capacity level of the plant etc.
Subject of the optimisation can be for example:
- Order sequences
- Personnel scheduling
- Machine utilisation
- Detection of capacity bottlenecks
Exemplary structure of a simulation-based detailed product planning:
Through the application of optimisation processes, e.g. heuristics, the best possible solution is determined. The simulation model delivers a prognosis on the planned manufacturing procedure.
Concrete questions may include:
- How long is the throughput time?
- What is the capacity utilisation of the manufacturing (machines, personnel)?
- How do the HGVs have to be scheduled in the shipping department?
- Can bottlenecks be avoided through a change in personnel scheduling?
Our services with regard to simulation-based detailed production planning:
- Development of the simulation model,
- selection and connection of a suitable optimisation model,
- creation of an individual user interface (e.g. for use during the job preparation),
- set-up of a database incl. interfaces to company information systems (e.g. SAP, PDA, production control stations),
- implementation of the software into running production
- personnel training,
- long-term maintenance.
