1. Basic training course

Within the scope of a basic training course, basic knowledge on the Plant Simulation software will be imparted and expanded using exemplar models. The objective is to familiarise the participants with the simulation tool insofar that they will be able to develop partial models independently and to experiment with models that are developed during the training course.

The course covers the following contents:

• Course of action for simulation studies
• Object-oriented system philosophy
• User interface
• Development and integration of user modules
• SimTalk simulation language
• Analysis of simulation results

2. Advanced training course

Within the scope of the expert training course, the Plant Simulation knowledge acquired during the basic training course will be linked with concrete problems from practical experience and expanded during the work with the simulation models.

The objective is to train the participants by means of in-depth, practical exercises and to give them an understanding of the problem-solving methods and the approach to more complex problems when creating simulation studies.

Topics/contents include:

• Resources / machine operators (interaction, approach to models with machine operators, services, intervention options, statistic)
• Interfaces / statistics (types and application of interfaces, management of experiment statistics)
• Tables (access and manipulation options, application of indices, multi-dimensional table structures, dynamic table handling)
• Vehicles (interaction, approach to model with vehicles, intervention options, statistics)
