Description: With the help of our value stream tool SimVSM and the extensions from the research project SEAMLESS, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, we show in this video how easily a value stream can be transformed into an online value stream in the future.
Using the example of a compact value stream model, the handling of the extended functionality of SimVSM is briefly presented.

Description: The SAESL factory contains the Maintenance, Overhaul and Repair (MRO) for gas turbine engines. SAESL used Tecnomatix Plant Simulation to evaluate the maximum output of the current plant, because the number of engine types to be maintained will change in the future. With the help of the Plant Simulation model we have tested different variants of possible future scenarios and thus determined the limit capacity of the current factory. In a next step we have supported the design and evaluation of a future factory layout. The simulation model has helped SAESL to understand key KPIs and opportunities to optimize process flow while keeping the cost low.
