What makes good planning – and good teamwork? – Our highlights in June

What makes good planning – and good teamwork?

In our latest newsletter, we share proven approaches for simulation projects, show how process mining creates real transparency, invite you to listen to the first two episodes of our podcast, and give you personal insights into everyday life at SimPlan in our new video series #wirsindsimplan. We also take you on a project visit to FEGA & Schmitt, where simulation became tangible.

Getting simulation projects off to a good start

Simulation only reveals its full potential when projects are planned correctly from the outset. However, in our many years of project experience, we see the same causes for project failure time and time again. Unclear objectives, poor data quality or a lack of involvement from relevant departments are among the most common stumbling blocks. Such omissions mean that models do not deliver the desired insights.

Based on our experience, we highlight five typical mistakes that slow down simulation projects. And we give you specific tips on how to avoid them and use simulation successfully as a decision-making tool.

NEW: SimPlan now also available on Spotify

Whether energy efficiency, process optimisation or digitalisation – in our new podcast ‘SimTalk by SimPlan’, we discuss the topics that really matter to companies. Practical, understandable and straight from everyday project work.

In the first episode, we show how energy consumption can be simulated and improved in a targeted manner. In the second episode, we take a look at simulation in the healthcare sector.

Understand data, improve processes

Your systems contain valuable information that is just waiting to be used. However, process data is often spread across different systems, unstructured or without a clear context. Process mining remedies this and makes your processes transparent. This allows you to identify bottlenecks, deviations and causes at a glance.

Together with simulation, this creates a powerful duo for informed decisions. You not only analyse what has happened, but also test what could happen. This allows you to identify and evaluate optimisation potential in a targeted manner in advance. Start data-driven process optimisation now.

Digitally simulated, real experience

The transition from simulation to reality is often the most exciting part of a project.

During a joint visit, we were able to experience how digital concepts were turned into a functioning logistics system. We share what particularly impressed us in our latest LinkedIn post.

#wearesimplan – Insights into the team

Transparency is more than just a principle for us. It shapes our daily work together. Internally, we live it through open communication and almost unrestricted access to information. Externally, we use tools such as Proven Expert to show what customers say about our services. Now we are also giving our team a voice: in our new video series #wirsindsimplan, employees talk about what makes their work at SimPlan special. Jessica Geis kicks things off with a personal look behind the scenes.
