GamoFlex – simulation of an innovative reference system model for carrier processing
The aim of this project is to develop a demonstrator of a novel and innovative carrier processing system which can be developed, optimized and put into operation as quickly as possible using modern methods. A basis for this is the simulation of the plant concept in the project planning and planning phase and the virtual commissioning (VIBN) in the planning and realization phase.
In many cases, virtual commissioning is characterized by highly individual and project-specific modeling activities. By setting up standardized object catalogs and interfaces, a contribution to more efficient VIBN and therefore to faster and more cost-effective real-time commissioning is to be placed here. The development of the prototype of a standardized object library for the modeling and virtual commissioning (VIBN) of plants in steel processing is the goal.
These include objects for the efficient imaging of machines, devices and conveyor technology elements, as well as the specification and prototypical implementation of interfaces to control systems on the machine and plant level. Proven simulation programs are fundamental, such as Plant Simulation (Siemens PLM) or Demo3D (Demo 3D Ltd.).
SimPlan AG, the Technical University of Darmstadt and the company Kaltenbach GmbH + Co. KG, will build up a reference system model in the simulation, prototypically implementing and improving. Parallel to this, requirements are derived from a module library that can be used universally for virtual commissioning.
The reference system is then simulated and controls (of the company B & R) are put into operation virtually. In doing so, a close exchange takes place, in particular, around the control development and validation.
