SimAssist – the assistant for professional simulation users
In July 2015, we relaunched our now very successful tool SimAssist and integrated the existing building block SimView as a plugin. SimAssist is a modular software for simulation users with assistant functions for data management, analysis, visualization and documentation.
SimAssist emerged from the research projects AssistSim and EDASim, the former was awarded 2nd place at the Hessian Cooperation Award.
With SimAssist we have created a professional tool that allows you not only to manage your simulation projects and the resulting data, but also to evaluate, optimize and finally transfer them into a project documentation. It does not matter which simulation software you have used or which data sources you are working with. This represents an enormous workload reduction for all simulation users and thus supports the return on investment considerably.
Modular structure for individual configuration
Due to the modular structure of SimAssist, building on the base module 4base, the different modules can be selected according to individual requirements. In this way, SimAssist can be adapted exactly to your requirements and your way of working. You decide which functions you need and how your project structure should be set up. You have a wide choice of functions such as data management, query, visualization, control, processing as well as experiment design and execution. This is complemented by plug-ins for project documentation, project management and project optimization.
4base (basic module)
Mainframe and basic PlugIns that enable data management as well as data retrieval
PlugIns: database definition, table, pivot
2check
Functions for targeted retrieval and checking of your data
PlugIns: variables, checking, SQL expressions
2view
Visualize and conveniently evaluate data
PlugIns: SimPie, SimGantt, SimView
2analyze
PlugIns from the area of statistics
PlugIns: categorization, confidence interval, distribution adjustment
2document
Development, forwarding, processing and saving of information (project documentation)
PlugIns: SimNote, Powerpoint, Reporting, Schema viewer
2run
Track and control data, assistance functions for the simulation of logistic processes
The modular and flexible character of SimAssist is underlined by the possibility of a developer license. This allows users to develop their own plug-ins tailored exactly to their needs and thus participate in the creation of their own personal software for simulation users. The already successfully introduced product SimView, widely used in the automotive industry, among others, has been integrated as an independent plug-in in the 2view module.
