What do I get from SimPlan?
This is a question that customers like to ask us. At the end of the day, is it just a PowerPoint presentation and a few nice pictures or what do we deliver to our customers?
First and foremost, our customers are provided with experienced and competent employees for the project.
And then, of course, it is crucial how an order is designed. For example, our order can be: “Please dear company SimPlan, build us a simulation model that we can use later.” Such an order is of course different than when a customer asks us to simulate a planning and tell us how good the planning is and what can be done better.
Consulting service or modeling service
In principle, you can say that one is more of a consulting service, the other is a modeling service, i.e. the creation of a simulation model.
In the first case, this means that the customer receives a complete consultation, results with corresponding result charts and so on in my consulting service, and when I order a model, then of course I also receive the simulation model.
But this raises a second question: If we as SimPlan are involved in such projects, what role do we play at all? And you have to realize that SimPlan is often caught between two stools, because such projects usually bring together different interest groups.
Customer, system supplier and planner face each other, and SimPlan in between
On the one hand, there is the customer, who naturally wants to get the maximum out of the planned and then delivered system. Then we have the system supplier, who naturally tries to deliver the optimum system for the customer, but at the lowest possible cost, in order to make good profit. And thirdly, the planner, who of course also tries to create the optimum system for the customer.
SimPlan and the simulation then stands somewhere in between in this mixture and tries to represent an objective opinion between all parties. It is clear that this is not always easy. In the end, we are always working on optimizing the result so that, if possible, each of the parties can find themselves and say: “Yes, hooks behind it. This is the system we want, this is the system we can build, and this is the system we planned.” That’s then the optimal outcome for us from such a project.
As mentioned in the beginning, we have great employees. In our article, we shed light on what they accomplish.
