Analysis of the actual state with value stream mapping
The optimisation of a production process begins with a comprehensive analysis of the actual state, e.g. via a value stream analysis. In many companies today, this is still done on paper. To check the processes, the records are then digitised.
This diversions is no longer necessary: With SimVSM, the process design moves directly to the production line. The planners record all value-adding elements, such as production parameters and material and information flows, directly on a tablet.
The unique feature of the mobile solution is the linking of the app with simulation software in the background: a web service transfers models directly to the simulation server at the touch of a button. This calculates characteristic values such as the exact utilisation of the system or the throughput and plays back the analysis results within a few seconds. Possible optimisations can thus be seen and implemented directly on the production line. This saves valuable time and money.
Adaptations in the shortest time via drag & drop
SimVSM is platform-independent and therefore available on practically any industry-compatible tablet. As the analysis is completely digital, changes can be implemented in the shortest possible time: customers record, document and simulate their complex value streams via drag & drop. After the analysis, the user can generate alternatives to the existing solution at the touch of a button and compare the variants with each other. A large number of different parameters can be entered and changed manually.
