From value stream analysis to process simulation mining: SimPlan at the TZ PULS anniversary
The Technology Centre for Production and Logistics Systems (TZ PULS) at Landshut University of Applied Sciences is celebrating its 10th anniversary. The theme is ‘Shaping the Future Together’. On 10 November 2026, representatives from industry, academia and politics will gather in Dingolfing for the occasion. SimPlan will be taking part with a specialist presentation.
Presentation: From Value Stream Analysis to AI-Based Process Simulation Mining
Stephan Stauber (SimPlan AG, Regensburg) and Prof. Dr Sebastian Meißner (TZ PULS) will deliver the presentation jointly. It forms part of the afternoon’s scientific keynote presentations.
Value stream analysis enables companies to make material and information flows in production and logistics transparent. However, it only provides a snapshot at a single point in time. Material flow simulation adds the temporal dynamics: fluctuations, interactions and bottlenecks. Process mining provides data from actual processes for this purpose. How these approaches come together and how AI can support this is the subject of the presentation.
The presentation is aimed at specialists and managers from production, logistics, industrial engineering and factory planning who wish to analyse and evaluate processes using data.
