Two new online workshops as part of the Tecnomatix Community Conversations
SimPlan is once again participating in the Tecnomatix Community Conversations event series organised by Siemens. The focus will be on two practice-oriented online workshops on Tecnomatix Plant Simulation, which are aimed in particular at experienced users.
Both sessions will be led by Alex Dilg, a long-standing simulation consultant at SimPlan AG and Siemens Community Catalyst. Alex brings extensive practical experience from projects in intralogistics, vehicle control and the development of specific object libraries. Each workshop includes a live demonstration followed by a Q&A session.
1st workshop on 23 July 2025: AGV control with marker reservations
This session focuses on an alternative method for controlling free-moving AGVs. Instead of classic distance control, a marker reservation system is presented that can be used to avoid collisions and implement right-of-way rules.
Topics include:
- Reserving markers before the journey
- Influence on speed during simulated acceleration
- Reserving marker areas before entering
When and how?
Wednesday, 23 July 2025 / 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. (CET)

2nd workshop on 20 August 2025: New features in Plant Simulation V2504
This workshop will present selected new features in the current Plant Simulation version V2504, with a focus on simulation objects and (G)UI. The new Omniverse Connector and Copilot will not be covered in this session.
Features presented include:
- Sequential assembly
- New diagrams for worker pools
- Improvements to conveyor belts (multiple gaps)
- Optimisations in shop modelling
