SimPlan to exhibit at the Automotive Lean Production Congress for the first time
The 20th Automotive Lean Production Congress will take place at Porsche Leipzig on 24 and 25 November 2026. SimPlan will be exhibiting there for the first time this year.
The congress brings together specialists and executives from the automotive industry and focuses on current developments in lean production, digitalisation and the further development of modern production systems. The focus is on best practices from the field as well as successful lean and digitalisation projects.
For SimPlan, the primary focus is on how lean methods can be usefully complemented by digital tools and simulation.
Digital value stream analysis with SimVSM
A key feature of our exhibition stand is SimVSM, our app for digital value stream analysis and lean management.
Traditional value stream analysis is a tried-and-tested tool for making material and information flows transparent, uncovering waste and identifying potential for improvement. With SimVSM, this process can be mapped entirely digitally.
Value streams can be recorded directly on site using a tablet and modelled via drag-and-drop. Production metrics, as well as material and information flows, are immediately available in digital form and can be processed further without any loss of continuity.
Taking Lean further: from value stream to simulation
Digital value stream mapping becomes particularly interesting when a static analysis is transformed into a dynamic model. Set-up times, fluctuating production volumes, varying buffer sizes or changing demand all influence one another and can only be assessed to a limited extent using a traditional value stream map. With SimVSM, value streams can therefore also be simulated. Key performance indicators such as throughput, capacity utilisation and potential bottlenecks can be calculated, and various improvement scenarios can be compared.
This means that Lean measures can not only be developed, but also quantitatively assessed and validated before their implementation.
We are looking forward to exhibiting at the Automotive Lean Production Congress for the first time and to exchanging ideas with Lean managers, production planners and other experts from the automotive industry.
