Prof. Dr. Sven Spieckermann (chair)

Sven Spieckermann studied Business Informatics at TU Darmstadt (Darmstadt University of Technology) and wrote his dissertation at  TU Braunschweig (Braunschweig University of Technology). He has been working for the SimPlan Group for more than twenty years as consultant and project manager for simulation and today, together with Dr. Ulrich Burges and Dr. Harry Kestenbaum, directs the board of directors of SimPlan AG. In particular he is responsible for controlling and finance.

As visiting lecturer for simulation at TU Braunschweig and the TU Darmstadt as well as an honorary professor at the KIT in Karlsruhe, Mr. Spieckermann passes on his knowledge and experience to students and regularly publishes articles in national and international journals.

Dr. Ulrich Burges

Ulrich Burges studied physics at RWTH Aachen University and wrote his dissertation at the Institut für Festkörperforschung (IFF) of the research centre Jülich about solid-state physics. Subsequently, he continued to work at the IFF as research assistant for a few years.

1998, Dr. Burges started working for SimPlan AG, and has now been with the company for more than 15 years as consultant and project manager for simulation. Before his appointment to the management board he was head of the SimPlan subsidiary Hanau. Dr. Burges is responsible especially for the operative simulation business as well as for IT. Furthermore he supervises numerous Diplom and Master theses and is member of several committees in the field of simulation.

Dr. Harry Kestenbaum

Harry Kestenbaum studied chemistry at Johann Wolfgang von Goethe-University Frankfurt und and wrote his dissertation at the Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung. After working for SimPlan AG as a simulation consultant, he spent three years as technical director for a manufacturing company of packaging machines.

In 2005 he took the position of General Sales Manager at SimPlan AG to support the growth of the company and now, after eight years, has been appointed to the management board. Here, Dr. Kestenbaum is responsible for Sales and Marketing.
