10 Years of Project Work: Review and Outlook
SimPlan AG celebrates its anniversary with an infotainment event
Since its foundation in 1992, the company has grown rapidly. Today, SimPlan AG is one of the leading consulting companies in the fields of process management, simulation and digital factory. SimPlan takes the occasion of its 10th anniversary for a top-class infotainment event on November 14, 2002.
“Solid consulting and profound technical and market knowledge are always in demand”, says SimPlan CEO Dirk Wortmann, describing his recipe for success. Together with board member Dr. Sven Spieckermann, he heads the consulting company founded in 1992. Despite the economic ups and downs during this period, the company grew rapidly: both sales and headcount increased continuously by 30 to 40 percent per year. In 2000, the GmbH was converted into a stock corporation. Through the foundation of subsidiaries, acquisitions as well as participations, the SimPlan Group advanced to become a leading provider in the field of simulation-based process optimization. “Healthy growth is important to us, not size at any price”, is how CEO Dr. Spieckermann describes the solid company strategy.
Especially in difficult economic phases, SimPlan’s range of services is booming, because the optimization of business processes is considered the key to success for companies. “Factors such as availability and delivery time influence the success of a product just as much as quality and price – optimal business processes lead to more successful companies”, explains CEO Wortmann.
This is exactly where the SimPlan consultants come in. The service portfolio includes the core topics of process management, simulation and digital factory. Process management creates the framework in the company for increasing success through transparency, measurement of process performance and continuous, overarching improvement of processes.
Simulation technology offers companies the chance to check decisions without risk and to plan processes on a secure basis. The digital factory, in turn, enables the mapping of an existing or planned production facility. Modern computer technology provides a virtual representation of all real-life interrelationships, and all the effects of intended changes become visible as early as the planning phase.
To start the anniversary year, SimPlan AG invites customers, press representatives and interested parties to an infotainment event in Frankfurt/Main on November 14, 2002. The SimPlan management informs in a review about the company development, presents the service portfolio and gives insights into interesting market developments.
The program will be rounded off by top-class lectures, among others on challenging project work in industry and trade, as well as discussions and expert talks on the topics of process optimization, process management, supply chain management, digital factory, simulation as well as simulation-supported control station.
