The world of simulation at LogiMAT 2007 – Service – Software – Support
The Simplan Group will present the entire spectrum of process simulation at its exhibition stand at LogiMAT 2007: from consulting and software sales to the handling of complex simulation projects
At LogiMAT 2007, the SimPlan Group will present a wide range of simulation services and tools for the simulation of logistical processes at its booth in Hall 5.0 / Booth 601. In addition to well-known simulation tools such as AutoMod, Plant Simulation and Enterprise Dynamics, visitors will also have the opportunity to learn about more specialized applications. A special highlight will be the expert forum “Don’t be afraid of SAP LES/TRM” on Wednesday, February 14, 2007, starting at 2:30 pm.
LogiMAT 2007 will provide an overview of current developments in the intralogistics industry and show international trade fair visitors ways to optimize processes and reduce costs. Simulation makes an important contribution to the presentation and verification of internal and external processes. In many areas, the use of simulation tools has already become standard. This also results in new developments and additional offers on the software side. Individually tailored services from consulting to the execution of comprehensive simulation projects take this into account. Depending on the requirements, different tools and methods offer the better solutions.
At LogiMAT 2007, SimPlan offers the opportunity to learn about new developments and application areas of simulation, to get to know special software and services and to compare different solutions. “In many companies, simulation is already an integral part of planning and supports operational processes. But the large number of different methods and tools offers more and more possibilities. We want to open these up to our customers. Simulation can, for example, provide valuable services in the investigation of entire supply chains, or test control software almost risk-free before commissioning” describes Dirk Wortmann, CEO of SimPlan AG, the services of his company.
On Wednesday, February 14, 2007, starting at 2:30 p.m., SimPlan will present the specialist forum “No Fear of SAP LES/TRM” together with SAP. A special case of simulation, emulation, will be presented there. More and more companies are considering using SAP software for end-to-end warehouse management and material flow control as part of the modernization and/or new construction of their warehouses. However, there are often great uncertainties here due to existing complexity, especially with regard to the control software. Software tests with the help of realistic simulation (emulation) can eliminate these uncertainty factors to a large extent and replace them with valid forecasts.
Logistics managers of well-known companies report from their projects in the environment of SAP LES/TRM implementation. Possible difficulties will be highlighted and it will be shown how emulation can support the implementation process.
