Every two years, the ASIM specialist group Simulation in Production and Logistics presents new developments and applications of simulation with changing main topics at the ASIM symposium.
For many years, SimPlan has participated in this largest European simulation conference with presentations and as sponsor of the simulation award. In lectures and workshops, research, development and industrial use are on an equal footing. New scientific work will be discussed as well as successful applications of simulation in companies. This provides participants with insights into the application possibilities and benefits of simulation in practice.
On the occasion of the ASIM symposium “Simulation in Production and Logistics”, ASIM will again award outstanding theses (diploma, master or bachelor) in the field of simulation in production and logistics.
The award for Discrete Event Simulation is again sponsored by SimPlan and Incontrol (see picture from 2021). In 2021, the award ceremony was held online due to known circumstances – now a face-to-face event is planned again.
The prize is endowed with 1,000 €. The prize winners will report on their work at the conference. The prize therefore additionally includes the conference fee as well as a lump sum of 500 € to cover travel and accommodation expenses. Furthermore, membership in ASIM is free of charge in the year of the award and in the two following years.
Details on how to apply for the award are available here.
More details about the program will follow soon.
